Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Telehealth Counselor to join our team at La Frontera Center Inc. as a LGBTQ Hotline Therapist. This is a remote, full-time position that requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of crisis intervention, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

About the Job

The successful candidate will provide crisis phone interventions to callers who reach out to our suicide hotline, utilizing their experience and expertise to assess clinical situations and recommend referrals for available services. Additionally, this role involves working collaboratively with internal and external clients/customers, maintaining a positive attitude, and adapting to changing circumstances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer Phone Calls: Respond promptly and professionally to all phone calls, ensuring efficient and effective communication with callers.
  • Clinical Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of clinical situations and needs, making informed recommendations for referrals and interventions.
  • Crisis Intervention: Provide safe and effective clinical interventions to callers, prioritizing their well-being and safety.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of all interactions, including critical information for data collection and reporting purposes.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess a Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the behavioral health field. Preference will be given to candidates with crisis experience, supervisory experience, and program development background.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $75,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. A comprehensive benefits package, including generous PTO, paid holidays, medical plans, dental plans, vision plans, 403(b) retirement plan, retirement allowance, company-paid Life/AD&D and Long Term Disability, and more, will also be provided.
