Job Overview

Position Summary:

This is an entry-level opportunity where comprehensive training will be provided. Retail Product Specialists play a crucial role in supporting sales efforts across various retail environments by ensuring that products are consistently available on shelves, adequately stocked, and presented in a competitive manner both inside and outside of each retail account through effective merchandising strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for executing all facets of the merchandising role effectively.
  • Adhere to established merchandising performance benchmarks, including display construction, product rotation (first in, first out), time management in accounts, and installation of promotional materials.
  • Engage with all assigned accounts following a schedule determined by the Manager.
  • Maintain a daily log of account visits, complete all required internal documentation, and submit reports to the Sales Director.
  • Promote effective shelf space management and collaborate with the Off Premise Sales Manager to optimize product placement in each assigned account.
  • Monitor and report competitive activities to your direct Supervisor.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues regarding service issues, stock shortages, lost shelf space, and other relevant information.
  • Submit accurate monthly reports on gasoline usage.
  • Maintain and ensure the functionality of all company-issued equipment.
  • Understand and comply with all company policies and procedures to uphold the positive reputation of Kozol Bros. Inc. in the marketplace.
  • Possess a working knowledge of all regulations governing our industry.
  • Relay all significant information and changes affecting assigned accounts to the District/Channel Manager.
  • Assist in the training of new team members.
  • Support colleagues and undertake additional tasks as assigned.
  • Complete any other job-related assignments as directed by the District/Channel Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must hold a valid Driver's License.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
  • Capable of understanding complex verbal and written instructions.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong follow-up capability.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative spirit.
  • Self-driven with a competitive mindset.
  • Willingness to work diligently and achieve success.
