Job Title - Oncology Infusion Clinical Pharmacist
Job Overview:
The Clinical Pharmacist applies extensive knowledge and expertise to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and economical pharmaceutical care tailored to their specific role. This position emphasizes patient care and fosters strong, collaborative relationships within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Sign-On Bonus: Eligible external candidates may receive a sign-on bonus of $10,000.
Relocation Assistance: Possible support for relocation is available.
Work Schedule:
- Pharmacists are expected to work 10-hour shifts.
- Inpatient pharmacy staffing is required every third weekend.
- Evening shifts are scheduled every fourth week.
Responsibilities:
As a Pharmacist, your responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the availability and integrity of medications for patient administration.
- Monitoring pharmacy inventory to reduce waste and ensure medication availability.
- Providing drug information to healthcare professionals.
- Verifying the accuracy of work performed by pharmacy technicians and other pharmacists.
- Preparing and ensuring the availability of compounded, extemporaneous, and prepackaged medications in compliance with current practice guidelines and regulations.
- Delivering clinical pharmacotherapy services, including patient medication counseling, participation in multidisciplinary patient care rounds, reviewing medication administration records, monitoring and reporting adverse drug reactions, and providing pharmacokinetic dosing services.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's Degree or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of six (6) months of relevant experience is required.
- Current Colorado Pharmacy licensure is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Infusion and/or Oncology is highly desirable.
