We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team in the Extended Stay Unit. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities- Support the plan of care as delegated by staff nurses within the scope of your skills verification.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in the patient care area.
- Provide care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the ages of patients served in assigned areas.
- Communicate patient care needs effectively with patients, families, and other staff members, including multi-disciplinary teams.
- Complete documentation of patient-related tasks.
- Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions, and communication style.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current Louisiana Certification as a Nurses' Assistant (CNA).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association to be obtained within 60 days from hire.
- Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) to be obtained within 60 days from hire.
- Hospital and telemetry experience.
