As a Controls Engineer at American Trim, you will play a crucial role in supporting manufacturing and facility operations. Your expertise will be essential in researching, developing, and implementing the latest technology to improve production processes and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and test new equipment and processes to achieve continuous improvement in production.
2. Oversee the production of various types of equipment and systems, ensuring they meet American Trim's specifications and quality standards.
3. Provide technical support and training to the operations team, tooling department, maintenance department, and outside vendor sources.
4. Troubleshoot problems with processes and hardware, ensuring timely resolution and minimal downtime.
5. Develop and maintain new equipment component standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
6. Work with programmable controllers, robots, and CNC equipment to improve efficiency and productivity.
7. Generate C.A.D. drawings for facility layout, electrical schematics, mechanical fabrication design, and equipment design.
8. Ensure technical support for all health, safety, and environmental policies, promoting a safe working environment.
9. Support manufacturing through project activities to improve quality, consistency, and output, recommending and implementing improvements as needed.
10. Maintain equipment records, programs schedules, and cost performance to budget, ensuring transparency and accountability.
