Merchandise Coordinator Role

Ashley Furniture HomeStore is seeking a skilled Merchandise Coordinator to oversee the design and coordination of interior projects, including merchandise layout, paint plans, and construction documents.

About the Position

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining showroom floor plans, utilizing AutoCAD to communicate direction to the field organization. They will also identify and prioritize business-critical product needs in partnership with merchants, ensuring all store needs are fulfilled and budgets are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and coordinate interior projects, including merchandise layout, paint plans, and construction documents.
  • Develop and maintain showroom floor plans, utilizing AutoCAD to communicate direction to the field organization.
  • Identify and prioritize business-critical product needs in partnership with merchants, ensuring all store needs are fulfilled and budgets are met.
  • Manage push-model transfers, transfer management, and aging transfers to optimize showroom performance.
  • Monitor and maximize dollars per square foot of each showroom floor, ensuring a visually appealing and profitable store aesthetic.
  • Oversee floor sample replacement orders, including creation, tracking, and new product transfer.
  • Ensure all advertised products are represented on each showroom floor, maintaining a cohesive and engaging shopping experience.
  • Assist with projects requiring AutoCAD drawings, including Playbooks, new store, and remodel layouts.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Interior Design preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Merchandising Management and 3 years of experience with AutoCAD.
  • Strong computer skills, with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Other duties as assigned.
