Job Title: Cook

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at West Tennessee Healthcare. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to order, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, and providing excellent customer service to our patients and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook food to order, following recipes and food safety guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and workstations
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff, responding to their needs and concerns
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures to prevent contamination and foodborne illness
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 0-2 years of related work experience preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Ability to follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
