We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our team at Polo Custom Products. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily production goals, ensuring that all relevant policies and procedures are followed, and department resources are properly organized and utilized.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision: Serve as a positive role model consistent with Polo's corporate culture at all times, and abide by correctional facility rules, policies, and procedures.
- Production Management: Monitor daily work schedules to meet established customer delivery, conduct and participate in meetings with the workforce and management team, and prepare, review, and complete daily and weekly production and job sheets.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all processes, equipment, employees, safety, housekeeping of the area, and meeting production quality and quantity are maintained.
- Performance Evaluations: Prepare and conduct 45/90-day, and annual performance evaluations for direct reports.
- Policy Enforcement: Ensure that company policies, rules, regulations, and procedures are followed.
- Team Environment: Provide a positive attitude for a team environment, and monitor production for all parts in process.
- Inventory Management: Pull work from the in-house store to the department and organize work for smooth operation.
- Equipment Maintenance: Aids in set-up when needed, and processes and returns completed jobs to the warehouse.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: One to two years of production/supervision experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership skills, organized, responsible, punctual, and self-disciplined, familiar with Microsoft Office Suite and data entry, maintains a professional appearance and courteous demeanor at all times, ability to read, write, and communicate effectively, ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and perform accurately, ability to move from one task to another, ability to counsel/resolve disputes between hourly associates, and able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Frequently moves about the production floor and facility, walking, bending, stooping, standing, sitting, and reaching.
- Occasionally lifts and carries objects about the facility up to 35 lbs. with proper equipment.
- Exposed to shop elements such as noise, odors, and fumes.
