Job Summary:
This position is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of industrial equipment and machinery within the pork processing facility. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, and hydraulic systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment and machinery issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, and inspection of equipment
- Conduct electrical and hydraulic system repairs, including wiring and circuit analysis
- Operate and maintain pneumatic systems, including air compressors and pneumatic tools
- Set up and adjust production machinery, including conveyor systems and packaging equipment
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance duties, including equipment inspections and repairs
- Read and understand equipment manuals and instructions, including technical documentation and schematics
- Complete daily reports and paperwork, including maintenance records and equipment logs
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months' experience and/or training in one of the following areas: Mechanical troubleshooting, Electrical/Electronic Troubleshooting, Hydraulic Troubleshooting, PLC Troubleshooting and Navigation, Welding/Fabrication, AC/DC Control Wiring, Motor Control, 3 Phase Wiring, Plumbing, Conveyor Maintenance, Hydraulics, Pneumatic systems
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment issues
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
