Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Polysomnographic Technologist II to join our team at Advocate Health. As a key member of our sleep medicine department, you will be responsible for conducting sleep studies, scoring sleep data, and providing technical support to patients and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct sleep studies using polysomnography equipment and software
  • Score sleep data to identify sleep disorders and provide accurate reports
  • Provide technical support to patients and healthcare professionals
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop treatment plans for sleep disorders
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest sleep medicine research and technologies
Requirements
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) registration or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience in a polysomnographic technician role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, and kneel throughout the workday. The incumbent must be able to lift up to 50 lbs from the floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs over the head, and carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance. The role also requires the ability to push/pull with 30 lbs of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs with a second person present.
