Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Gundersen Health System is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children and teens in our outpatient setting.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat individuals with disabilities, injuries, and disease using appropriate modalities and treatment techniques according to Wisconsin OT Standards of Practice.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team in the areas of education and consultation regarding patient care needs, in accordance with the vision and mission of Gundersen Health System.
- Provide individualized intervention and education utilizing task analysis based on identified learning needs of the patient to ensure optimal patient care.
- Responsible for completing documentation within established department standards to enhance effective patient care and proper reimbursement.
- Comply with department competency list.
- Interact and practice in collaboration with a variety of professionals and health care consumers. Communicate value of Occupational Therapy Services.
- Participate in departmental and multidisciplinary review of process, treatment or systems issues for Quality Improvement initiatives.
- Pursue relevant educational opportunities to maintain or enhance professional knowledge and meet departmental needs.
- Adhere to regular and predictable attendance.
- Personally interact, engage with and care for patients.
- Ensure patient safety.
- Perform other job-related responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or a health-related field.
- No experience required, but 1 year of experience in a related field is desired.
- Occupational Therapist - Wisconsin (OT) Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (with hands-on learning) from one of the following programs; American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
