Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Technician to join our team at Toyota Boshoku America. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for supporting the production areas, minimizing downtime, and maintaining the overall Toyota Production System.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support tool room activities on all production equipment and facilities.
  • Make components for repairs and improvements on stamping dies, fixtures, and molds.
  • Set up, program, and run CNC and manual machines to produce needed components.
  • Use MasterCam, Solid Works, and AutoCAD to draw, modify, and program room to produce needed components.
  • Manage machine uptime and downtime.
  • Troubleshoot parts when issues occur.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area and equipment.
  • Document completion of all required processes in Asset Essentials system.
  • Work with tooling die repair tech to ensure new details are installed properly.
  • Read technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Use measuring tools and gages.
  • Work with the Engineering department to improve processes.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Machinist 1 certificate/diploma or equivalent required.
  • Tool and Die certificate/diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 2-5 years of Tooling, Machining experience required.
  • 2-5 years of experience with CAD, CNC programming required.
  • Experience drawing and programming with MasterCam preferred.
  • CNC, Machine shop, and Kaizen experience a plus.
  • Stamping die repair experience a plus.
  • TIG/MIG Welding and fabrication a plus.
  • Experience using an overhead crane a plus.

  • Self-starter with strong work ethic.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Flexibility in a changing working environment.
  • Mandatory overtime flexibility.
Work Environment and Conditions

Automotive manufacturing plant. Travel: 0-10%.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, see, and hear. The team member must be capable of walking, sitting, and standing and is occasionally required to lift up to 30 pounds.
