Automotive Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Automotive Instructor to deliver engaging and effective instruction to students at our TCAT facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and a passion for education.

• Develop and deliver course content in accordance with established curriculum guidelines
• Utilize instructional technology and learning management systems (LMS) to enhance student learning
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and success
• Employ effective classroom management techniques to ensure a productive learning environment
• Assess student performance through various methods, such as exams, projects, and presentations
• Provide timely feedback and guidance to students to support their academic progress
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and revise curriculum materials as needed

• Master or Senior Master Technician
• ASE certified
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with students, colleagues, and administrators
• Demonstrated ability to develop engaging curriculum materials
• Knowledge of instructional design principles and best practices
• Ability to provide academic advising and support to students as needed

At the end of the course, the Technician will be Advanced Level Certified with the focus on Diagnostic, Troubleshooting, Electrical, Scan Tools, Basic Engine Repair, Transmission Repair, OEM certifications, and more through a 16 week course to be Advanced Level Certified (Main Shop Ready) upon completion as a Special Industry class at TCAT.

The Technician will receive a toolbox with startup tools or stipend towards special tools at Graduation.

Open to Civilian and Military.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 11 per week

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends

• Automotive Technician: 5 years (Required)
