Joining our Construction Services team provides the chance to engage in significant transportation infrastructure initiatives across the region.

This role involves overseeing engineering inspections and documenting construction activities to ensure adherence to project specifications, plans, and relevant regulations, safeguarding the interests of our clients.

You will assist in refining design calculations, technical documentation, engineering plans, and other project-related documents.

Utilize your technical expertise to aid in the evaluation and interpretation of construction drawings and reports.

Key Responsibilities:


Monitor and assist with construction tasks to verify compliance with project specifications.

Review and interpret contract documents to ensure adherence.

Conduct or supervise on-site material testing, assessing material requirements and ensuring compliance with specifications.

Analyze construction drawings to identify discrepancies or conflicts.

Examine contractor daily reports for accuracy and consistency, documenting project progress through various media.


Collaborate with the Resident Engineer to address construction challenges, propose solutions, and serve as a liaison with the engineering team.


Stay informed about industry advancements and tools for inspection work through ongoing training and research.

Leverage new technologies to enhance inspection efficiency and accuracy.


Perform office engineering tasks as necessary, including preparing meeting agendas, documenting minutes, and maintaining logs for project deliverables.

Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or
A Master's degree in Engineering with at least 1 year of relevant experience, or
A Doctorate degree in Engineering.

Preferred Skills:
Experience in construction engineering and inspection for large-scale highway and bridge projects.

Collaboration with project stakeholders to ensure thorough inspection and documentation.

Ability to identify complex discrepancies in documentation and assess work quality using inspection protocols.


Competence in performing advanced calculations, creating reports, and utilizing software for project management.

Familiarity with reviewing shop drawings and evaluating project schedules.
