We are seeking a detail-oriented Payment Posting Specialist to join our team at PeopleShare. As a key member of our business office, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate payment processing and reconciliation activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Post payments from private pay, insurance, liability companies, schools, and other governmental groups with minimal errors.
- Apply manual payments and process ERA payments.
- Analyze EOB information, including co-pays, contractual adjustments, denials, and more to ensure accuracy.
- Scan all EOBs and payment support.
- Post denials in accordance with EOB to assist in timely and accurate denial follow-up workflows.
- Investigate and clear unapplied payments in the practice management system; work with AR team and Programs as necessary to resolve allocation.
- Research and escalate under/overpayments to the posting manager to be addressed.
- Complete posting logs to ensure proper tracking of all payments.
- Contact third-party payers, insurance companies, and private payers for clarification when information is needed to successfully post payments.
- Properly document all recoupments and notify the manager of recoupment.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of two years of healthcare revenue cycle experience.
