Position Overview

Salary: Competitive

EnDyna is seeking a highly experienced Industrial Hygiene Specialist with a robust background in managing comprehensive industrial hygiene initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years of expertise in overseeing IH projects from inception to completion. This role involves supervising a team of IH professionals and ensuring prompt responses to client needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the IH team, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Conduct thorough indoor air quality assessments in various environments, addressing concerns such as odors, stagnant air, moisture issues, and mold.
  • Perform visual inspections of mechanical and air supply areas, assessing the influence of ventilation systems on indoor air quality.
  • Develop strategic sampling methodologies for industrial hygiene projects and workplace exposure evaluations.
  • Design and execute field studies related to worker or tenant exposure, encompassing air, water, noise sampling, illumination, ventilation assessments, indoor air quality evaluations, ergonomic studies, and radiation assessments.
  • Prepare detailed reports that summarize findings, interpret IH data, and provide regulatory compliance recommendations. Reports must be technically sound and tailored to the intended audience.
  • Review reports for grammatical and technical precision.
  • Utilize and maintain various instruments, including sampling pumps, calibrators, noise dosimeters, sound level meters, and direct-reading gas meters.
  • Research and advise on safety and health operational standards, guidelines, and IH sampling techniques.
  • Contribute to the development and revision of health and safety policies, programs, procedures, and training materials.
  • Foster and maintain client relationships while mentoring mid-level and junior IH staff. Establish and enforce company policies and objectives.
  • Respond to urgent client inquiries and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Review and provide feedback on assessment documents prepared by mid-level and junior IH staff.
  • Conduct ergonomic evaluations and follow up with tenants as necessary.
  • Perform safety assessments in office settings and maintain a comprehensive list of locations and points of contact.
  • Manage Asbestos Location Operations and Maintenance programs.

Qualifications

  • Clean credit history and no criminal record. Previous federal CAC preferred.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Physical capability to navigate uneven surfaces, climb ladders, and enter confined spaces.
  • Possess a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in engineering, science, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of directly related experience, or seven (7) years with an advanced degree and relevant board certification.
  • Ability to obtain Secret clearance if required; sponsorship available.
