Key Responsibilities

  • Perform target list management, no-strike coordination, targeting automation duties, target intelligence planning, target development, Collateral Damage Estimations (CDE), weaponeering, point mensuration, and Battle Damage Assessment (BDA) with minimal guidance.
  • Complete work with no supervision, meet priorities, and achieve results based on the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills to compose and deliver responses to complex questions in a clear, concise, and organized manner.
  • Identify ways to facilitate cooperation and knowledge sharing across organizations to advance projects and goals.
  • Produce standardized joint target intelligence based on a comprehensive understanding of published instructions, policy, and doctrine.

Qualifications

  • Experience in operational targeting
  • Graduate of Joint Targeting School in-resident course or equivalent MOS/AFSC-awarding military service school targeting course
  • Experience with geospatial intelligence or imagery exploitation, joint target intelligence production for Combatant Commands, subordinate joint force, NATO, or service/functional component Targeting Element, Targeting Work Center, or Intelligence/Operations Fusion Center

Additional Information

DIA positions are Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) positions in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. All applicants must be U.S. citizens at the time of application. Applicants must meet the agency's conditions of employment, to include, but not limited to, satisfactory completion of an initial special background investigation and periodic reinvestigation, completion of any required medical examination and physical requirements, completion of any required personal interviews, favorable completion of any required initial or aperiodic polygraph examinations, completion of any required drug test, satisfactory completion of a two-year Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System trial period, and completion of a civilian mobility agreement. All civilian employees are required to participate in the DoD Direct Deposit/Electronic Fund Transfer of Pay (DD/EFT) Program.
