- Engineering Solutions:
- Design and implement cutting-edge audio-visual and IT solutions tailored for conference environments, utilizing the latest technological advancements.
- Upgrade existing systems to improve functionality and performance, ensuring alignment with current and future organizational demands.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, develop customized solutions, and execute high-quality implementations.
- Create and deploy automation solutions to optimize conference room operations and enhance user experience.
- Technical Support and Maintenance:
- Deliver expert technical support for conference room systems, including video conferencing and audio-visual equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve intricate UC system challenges to ensure minimal downtime and maximum operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular maintenance and updates on conference room equipment and software to guarantee optimal performance.
- Integration and Innovation:
- Utilize APIs to integrate diverse systems and software, fostering a cohesive and efficient UC environment.
- Develop and implement comprehensive testing plans for new and existing technologies, ensuring all systems meet quality and performance standards prior to deployment.
- Identify and rectify bugs, compatibility issues, and performance bottlenecks, continuously enhancing system reliability.
- Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in UC technologies, providing recommendations and testing improvements.
- Collaboration and Training:
- Work collaboratively with internal IT teams and external vendors to implement and optimize UC solutions.
- Facilitate user training sessions to ensure employees are adept at utilizing conference room technologies, thereby enhancing productivity.
- Document and maintain detailed records of support activities, configurations, and system changes to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing.
- Monitoring and Reporting:
- Oversee and manage the performance of UC systems, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
- Prepare detailed reports on system performance, issues, and improvement recommendations, providing actionable insights for continuous enhancement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a UC Engineer or in a similar technical role, with a strong focus on engineering, problem-solving, and automation.
- In-depth knowledge of UC technologies such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Polycom, Logitech, Neat, etc.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, IP telephony, and audio-visual systems.
- Experience with APIs and integrating various systems and software.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Teams Administrator) are a plus.
- Proven experience in developing, implementing, and supporting audio-visual and IT solutions for conference rooms or similar environments.
- Proficiency in creating and following detailed testing plans and documentation.
