About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Radiologic Technologist to join our team at West Jefferson Medical Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and delivering high-quality imaging services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain various imaging equipment, including x-ray machines, to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Explain procedures to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or anxiety they may have.
  • Recognize and respond to clinical and emergent problems that may impact exams, ensuring a positive outcome.
  • Evaluate critical test findings and review anatomic details and abnormalities with radiologists as needed.
  • Maintain supply levels, clean and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, and report any safety concerns.
  • Input and verify data in our electronic medical record system.
  • Ensure a safe environment for patients and staff, adhering to quality control checks and protocols.
  • Contribute to a positive and efficient work environment by assisting colleagues and promoting a culture of teamwork and excellence.
Requirements
  • ARRT certification and CPR training.
  • State of Louisiana Radiology Technologist license.
  • Three to five years of radiology experience (preferred).
