Job Title: Residential Counselor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Counselor to join our team at MAB Community Services. As a Residential Counselor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide person-centered support to individuals with disabilities, promoting their independence and community participation.
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans, working closely with participants, families, and community partners.
  • Ensure a safe and clean living environment, maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns or incidents.
  • Collaborate with the Residential Coordinator and other team members to ensure high-quality care and support.
  • Participate in regular supervision, training, and case reviews to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree and/or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals, families, and community professionals.
  • Valid MA driver's license and ability to drive program vehicles.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry lightweight and moderately heavy objects, and assist with participant transfers.
  • Comfort with computers and ability to learn new reporting software.
Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position, working a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays. You must be able to maintain a high level of energy in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable with frequent walking, standing, and driving.
