Under the guidance of direct supervision, the responsibilities encompass:
- Proficient understanding of the tools, techniques, and materials utilized in the operation, maintenance, and repair of both high and low pressure steam and hot water boilers, as well as heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation, and associated auxiliary apparatus; awareness of occupational hazards and safety protocols related to heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration functions; familiarity with standard practices, methodologies, materials, tools, and equipment pertinent to the air conditioning and refrigeration sector, including chillers, water towers, pumps, air handlers, thermostats, pneumatic and electric controls, condensers, and heat pumps.
- Execute electrical, plumbing, and welding tasks related to heating and air conditioning systems; adeptly utilize a variety of hand and power tools, welding apparatus, and specialized tools associated with heating and air conditioning repairs; prepare and maintain maintenance documentation, daily logs, and procurement records; interpret and comprehend equipment service manuals and technical references.
- Employ the tools and testing equipment utilized in air conditioning and refrigeration repair, such as ammeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, leak detectors, pneumatic calibration gauges, water flow meters, air measuring instruments, welding tools, and refrigerant charging devices.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of a recognized HVACR apprenticeship program; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Schedule
Monday to Saturday, from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM - Days may vary based on location and staffing needs.
Compensation
Grade 32 Step 5 - $69,258.96
