Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at Acuity International. As a key member of our medical staff, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our clients in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical services to preserve the health of employees and client personnel, including assessing urgent or emergent health needs and formulating a plan of care.
  • Recognize and treat illnesses and injuries according to established operating instructions, within the scope of licensure and regulations.
  • Record and maintain patient information in accordance with standard protocols and the Privacy Act.
  • Identify and record signs and symptoms of physical and mental conditions, and exercise skill in initiative, judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • Pursue professional development activities and continuing education to ensure currency with present practices and trends in healthcare.
  • Monitor reconciliation of financial transactions and ensure contract charges are applied uniformly.
  • Protect patients' privacy through confidentiality, infection control procedures, and proper storage and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
Requirements
  • Master's degree from an approved OB/GYN or women's health nurse practitioner program or Advanced Certification (Certificate of Authority) acceptable to the USAF Surgeon General.
  • Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant school and hold a NCCPA, AANP, or ANCC Certification.
  • Women's Health Nurse Practitioner certification with the National Certification Corporation (NCC) for Obstetrics, Gynecologic, and Neonatal Nursing Specialties.
  • Active and unrestricted NP/PA License, free from any pending adverse actions and the ability to be favorably credentialed by Acuity policy.
  • Minimum of 24 months within the past 36 months of clinical practice experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years recent experience as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant.
  • Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification required.
  • Advance Trauma Life Support (ATLS) will be required before deployment.
  • Knowledge of professional care theories, principles, practices, and procedures to provide comprehensive women's health care throughout the lifespan.
  • Ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized, and have excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computer and common office equipment, as well as with MS Office products.
  • Ability to adapt to sudden changes and flexibility in work requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to research and resolve inquiries and respond in a timely manner.
  • Self-starter who is action-oriented and possesses a strong sense of urgency.
Additional Requirements
  • Current U.S. passport.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Clearance.
Physical Requirements
  • Meet pre-deployment physical requirements.
  • No conditions that would prevent the wear of personal protective equipment, including protective mask, ballistic helmet, body armor, and chemical/biological protective garments.
  • Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
  • Location of services may at times be in remote, austere, or challenging environments.
  • May require bending, stooping, and lifting as required for patient care and transport.
