We are in search of a full-time Clinical Registered Nurse specializing in Wound Care who will uphold our esteemed tradition of excellence. If you aspire to positively impact lives daily, consider becoming part of a dedicated team committed to making a difference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts assessments, plans, intervenes, and evaluates patient care at the bedside. Establishes rapport with patients, families, and friends to identify care requirements. Maintains confidentiality and protects operations by adhering to HIPAA privacy policies.
  • Documents patient care and outcomes electronically, ensuring continuity among nursing teams through effective communication of actions and ongoing needs.
  • Delegates responsibilities to non-licensed personnel and assistants as appropriate.
  • Engages in unit performance improvement initiatives through ongoing design, assessment, and measurement of performance improvement activities. Participates in nursing and unit-based committees focused on education, engagement, and practice.
  • Ensures patient and employee safety by adhering to infection control protocols, medication administration guidelines, and regulations regarding controlled substances.
  • May serve as charge nurse with the approval of the nurse manager.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience upon hire or after completing the Professional Nurses Clinical Advancement Program (PNCAP) and 18 months of employment.
  • Current RN license in the District of Columbia.
  • Basic Life Support Certification from AHA.
  • Certification as a Wound Care Nurse.
