Physicist II Position

At St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, we are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Radiation Oncology Expert to join our team. As a Radiation Physics Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of accurate radiation doses to pediatric patients in our Department of Radiation Oncology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and interact with appropriate personnel to perform assigned radiation physics duties and ensure accurate radiation doses.
- Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures in radiation physics and radiation safety to facilitate accurate and safe delivery of radiation doses.
- Provide educational activities to promote continuous improvement and compliance with patient care standards.
- Participate in budget preparation and equipment specifications and purchases to ensure adequate and uninterrupted services to patients.
- Organize and document all radiation physics records in coordination with appropriate staff and physicians.
- Participate in departmental quality improvement/control activities and develop, implement, maintain, and report department quality improvement plans.
- Assist with the orientation and training of new staff.
Requirements:
- MS or PhD in Physical Sciences required.
- Four (4) years of experience with MS in Physics.
- Completion of Part II of the American Board of Radiology Exam preferred.
Compensation: A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $138,320 - $262,080 per year for the role of Physicist II.
