AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our team in Winter Park, Florida.
About the Role:We are looking for a skilled and experienced Psychiatrist to provide high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments to formulate accurate diagnoses
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices, psychopharmacology, and psychotherapeutic interventions
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitoring for efficacy and side effects
- Provide trauma-informed psychotherapy and counseling to individuals, families, and groups to address mental health challenges and promote resilience
- Collaborate effectively with our primary care providers, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated whole person care
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and strategies for managing and improving overall well-being
- Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
- Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Active BLS required
- DEA required
- Valid, current Florida Medical License
