Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or PA to join our growing behavioral health team. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Essential Functions:
  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments to formulate accurate diagnoses.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices, psychopharmacology, and psychotherapeutic interventions.
  • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
  • Provide trauma-informed psychotherapy and counseling to individuals, families, and groups to address mental health challenges and promote resilience.
  • Collaborate effectively with our primary care providers, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated whole person care.
  • Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and strategies for managing and improving overall well-being.
  • Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong medical decision-making skills.
  • Displaying a caring and professional attitude at all times.
  • Documenting in a timely and thorough manner.

Required Education & Experience:
  • Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
  • Active BLS required.
  • DEA required.
  • Valid, current Florida Medical License.
Licensure, Certification, Registration:
  • Current, valid Florida PA or APRN license.
  • BLS & ACLS.
  • DEA License.
