This role is responsible for ensuring the development and delivery of quality information processing services for our internal users and members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Information Systems Security: Ensure the integrity of our information systems through security measures, including ongoing system penetration monitoring and testing. Prepare and maintain technical specifications and related documentation to secure procedures and prevent system failure.
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop and implement information security and disaster recovery programs within the credit union.
  • Department Management: Design, develop, implement, and direct the administration of the Information Systems Department, including budgeting, performance monitoring, reporting, planning, priority setting, and staff management.
  • Strategic Planning: Participate in the development, implementation, and achievement of strategic plans to support the organizational direction of the credit union. Develop and implement long-range strategic plans to address the evolving information processing needs of the Credit Union and its members.
  • Project Management: Direct and monitor all hardware and software conversion, development, and enhancement projects.
  • Vendor Management: Negotiate with vendors on behalf of the credit union to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions.
  • Financial Management: Prepare a Department budget that is well documented and consistent with the strategic plan of the Credit Union.
  • Leadership and Development: Provide training, development, support, and leadership for all direct reports; establish and achieve management development objectives for individual managers.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with Credit Union policies and procedures. Stay knowledgeable of and comply with applicable laws and regulations, including BSA/AML and OFAC.

Requirements:

  • Education: A Bachelor's college degree or commensurate experience in information technology or a related field.
  • Certifications: CISSP certification preferred or other recognized certifications (CISA, CISM).
  • Experience: Five years to eight years of similar or related experience. Experience in Windows Operating System administration. An understanding of information security and business continuity is required. A working knowledge of hardware and software is required. Experience managing a technical business unit.

Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a typical office environment with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues. Local travel, including exposure to heat, cold, inclement weather conditions, and occasional environmental hazards, may be required.
