Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Manager to join our team at HCL Technologies. As a key member of our executive team, you will be responsible for defining business requirements and systems goals, and identifying and resolving business systems issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with executive team members, decision makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements and systems goals.
  • Identify and resolve business systems issues.
  • Develop and implement technical strategies to improve system performance and efficiency.
  • Lead and manage a team of technical professionals to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize business needs.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure HCL Technologies remains competitive.

Technical Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of operating systems, including Linux and Windows based systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of Active Directory.
  • Expert knowledge of virtual environment design, implementation, and maintenance (e.g. VMware).
  • Knowledge of server software used on servers supported by the Administrators.
  • Knowledge and experience with installation of memory, modems, network cards, video cards, routers, hubs, and similar hardware equipment.
  • Familiar with the installation and maintenance of network equipment such as switches, routers and firewalls.
  • Knowledge of RAID, VLANS, TCP/IP protocols, DHCP and DNS.
  • Knowledge of Antivirus Strategies.
  • Familiar with Windows Scripts, VBScript, BASH or PERL scripts.
  • Experience with ESX and/or Windows Hyper-V virtual environments.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in IT management, with a focus on technical leadership.
  • Proven track record of success in leading technical teams and delivering complex projects.
