X-Ray Imaging Specialist

We are seeking an experienced X-Ray Imaging Specialist to join our team at Intermountain Health in Denver, Colorado.
About the RoleThis role is responsible for producing high-quality x-ray images of patients, ensuring clear and undistorted films. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radiological procedures and patient positioning techniques.
The X-Ray Imaging Specialist will work closely with radiologists and physicians to ensure accurate imaging and diagnosis. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Produce x-ray images of specified body areas as directed by the physician or radiologist, ensuring clear and undistorted films.
- Position and instruct patients regarding x-ray procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Perform x-ray procedures using portable machines as requested by the Emergency Department and nursing units.
- Process films for radiologists reading/interpretation following established procedures.
- Maintain patient information by purging or updating patient film jackets and/or filing reports or film files to ensure accurate patient records.
- Maintain imaging and processing equipment by performing scheduled cleanings and tests and documenting results.
- High School diploma or equivalent, required.
- Successful completion of an approved radiological training program and the ability to meet the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), required.
- Current license/certification in the state of practice, required.
- Possess a current Basic Life Support Certification, or obtain certification within one month of employment, required.
- At least one (1) year of experience in a setting serving the same age/type of patient population served by this facility or department, preferred.
