Position Overview:

The Senior Procurement Specialist will engage in negotiations with suppliers for the acquisition of all materials, supplies, equipment, and services utilized by the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage inbound logistics for internationally sourced raw materials.
  • Track incoming shipments from overseas suppliers, primarily based in Asia.
  • Utilize online booking agent platforms to monitor available shipments and necessary approvals.
  • Research, identify, and recommend key suppliers.
  • Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, pricing, delivery, and service metrics.
  • Negotiate optimal pricing and delivery terms for raw materials, components, shipping supplies, facility services, and general supplies.
  • Oversee ERP scheduling and replenishment systems with suppliers.
  • Monitor inventory levels and trends effectively.
  • Facilitate the purchase and scheduling of raw materials, components, shipping supplies, and other related materials throughout the manufacturing and inventory processes.
  • Conduct timely follow-ups on Purchase Orders to ensure on-time delivery and address material shortages.
  • Review receiving reports, manage returns to vendors, and resolve invoice discrepancies promptly.
  • Provide purchasing support to the engineering team to identify new vendors and ensure the availability of necessary prototype materials and components.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and the MRB team regarding returns to vendors.
  • Maintain organized records by electronically filing documents related to Purchase Orders.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, which may change at any time.
Required Competencies:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and PLEX.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with warehouse and professional staff.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or 5 to 10 years of relevant purchasing experience.
  • Strong proficiency in written and spoken English.
