We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Meat Department Manager to join our team at The GIANT Company. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective and profitable operations of the meat department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and process deliveries, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Weigh, price, and label products to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Stock cases and prepare valued-added products to meet customer demands.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge, making recommendations to customers and driving sales growth.
  • Manage inventory levels, ordering products as needed to meet customer demands.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching, training, and feedback to ensure success.
  • Meet sales, gross profit, shrink, and labor targets, driving business growth and profitability.
  • Reconcile invoices and execute weekly merchandising plans to drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Ensure department walks and staff meetings are conducted regularly, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain high standards of sanitation and food safety, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
  • Process cuts for service counter or special orders, meeting customer demands and driving sales growth.
Requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to read, communicate, and understand company policies and safety regulations.
  • Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform the job.
  • Must meet the company performance standards for the job, including regular attendance.
  • Must be able to work in a cold environment.
Preferred Requirements
  • Serve Safe Certification.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Minimally 1-year relevant work experience.
