Strawberry Harvest Specialist

As a vital member of our Production Team, the Harvesting Operator plays a crucial role in executing harvesting tasks on our innovative production farm, contributing significantly to the quality of our products and the health of our plants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee various stages of the strawberry plant life cycle, ensuring timely completion of tasks such as harvesting and sanitation.
• Utilize and troubleshoot advanced agricultural technologies.
• Collaborate with packaging and distribution teams, assisting in sorting, cleaning, weighing, packaging, and labeling strawberries appropriately.
• Engage in data collection and analysis to support continuous improvement of our strawberry quality.
• Report any concerns to management to maintain the health and safety of our plants and personnel.

This position is hands-on, with approximately 90% of the time spent actively working on the farm.

Requirements for Harvesting Operators:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong attendance and punctuality record.
• A passion for strawberries and a willingness to learn.
• Enjoyment of the farming lifestyle, with experience in gardening considered a plus.
• Attention to detail and the ability to identify imperfections in produce.
• Prior experience in a commercial kitchen or packaging operation is advantageous; Food Safety Certification is a plus.
• No prior growing experience is necessary; comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Capability to climb ladders and perform crouching or kneeling tasks.
• Ability to reach, stretch, and demonstrate hand dexterity.
• Comfortable in an active, non-sedentary role for extended periods.
• Must not have allergies to bees.

Work Schedule:

Thursday to Saturday, 10 AM to 7 PM.
