Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management
    • Oversee the daily operation of the power plant and associated equipment
    • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and guidelines
    • Monitor and report on equipment performance and maintenance needs
  • Maintenance Management
    • Plan and schedule maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance
    • Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities with technicians and other stakeholders
    • Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with procedures and guidelines
  • Team Management
    • Supervise and manage a team of technicians and other support staff
    • Provide guidance and training to ensure that team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
    • Monitor and report on team performance and productivity
  • Communication and Reporting
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including management, technicians, and other support staff
    • Prepare and submit reports on operations and maintenance activities, including performance metrics and recommendations for improvement
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a relevant field (e.g. engineering, operations management) preferred
    • 7+ years of experience in wind turbine maintenance and operations, with a focus on operations and maintenance management
  • Skills and Knowledge
    • Strong knowledge of wind turbine operations and maintenance, including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on safety and quality
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Valid driver's license required
    • OSHA certification and other relevant certifications preferred
Working Conditions

The Operations & Maintenance Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on safety and quality. The successful candidate will be required to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a variety of weather conditions. The position requires a high level of physical fitness, with the ability to lift, carry, and move heavy equipment and materials.
