Senior Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities:
  • Perform skilled tasks related to carpentry, electrical work, painting, and general repairs in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Work closely with the Plant Ops Manager and other staff to prioritize and address maintenance and renovation needs.
  • Maintain detailed records of renovation projects, maintenance activities, and repairs.
  • Prepare and submit reports as required by management.
  • Complete work orders in a timely manner.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Must be able to frame walls and ceilings.
  • Must be able to hang sheet rock.
  • Proficiency in installing crown molding, baseboards, and trim.
  • Perform repairs, replacements, and upgrades to electrical fixtures, doors and hardware, countertops and cabinets, appliances, walls, and floors.
  • Ability to plan and prepare renovation schedules and project milestones.
  • Track progress and adhere to renovation timelines.
  • Must be able to dead lift 50lbs.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Valid Virginia Driver's License.
  • Minimum five (5) years of related work experience in demo/renovations/construction field.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to read and write, follow written and oral instructions, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to work with the elderly population in a courteous and friendly manner, demonstrating patience and compassion.
  • Ability to always perform duties with consideration for resident's rights and demonstrate integrity and discretion.
  • Knowledge of safe and appropriate use of tools and equipment.
