Hospitalist - PRN Physician

The Hospitalist Physician will provide care for hospitalized patients throughout their stay, conducting comprehensive examinations and evaluations, and making treatment decisions. This role requires a strong understanding of evidence-based protocols and the ability to collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Admit patients to the hospital for primary care physicians as needed
- Provide primary and consultative medical care to patients admitted to various hospital units, with appropriate subspecialty consultation
- Coordinate patient care through collaboration with other physicians, nursing staff, case managers, and ancillary service providers
- Keep patients informed and provide periodic updates as necessary
- Participate in hospital utilization management, risk management, and performance improvement programs
- 2 years of practice as a Hospitalist Physician preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study required
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree required
- Residency in internal medicine or family medicine is required
- Current license issued by LA State Board of Medical Examiners
