About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Hershey Outpatient Surgery Center. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures
  • Assist the circulating nurse and surgical team in maintaining a sterile environment
  • Prepare and gather necessary surgical supplies and equipment
  • Participate in sponge, needle, and instrument counts
  • Assist in keeping physician preference cards accurate and up-to-date
  • Transport surgical equipment to decontamination areas
  • Assist in cleaning and reprocessing instrument sets
  • Perform terminal cleaning of the surgical suite
  • Interact effectively with patients, visitors, and healthcare team members
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
  • Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist
  • 2 years of experience in a surgical setting (preferred)

We offer a Monday-to-Friday work schedule without call, weekends, or holidays. Our primary hours of operation are 7am to 5pm. We also provide opportunities for professional growth and development, as well as a positive and supportive work environment.
