Job Overview

Position: Systems Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with network management teams.
  • Establish and manage administrator and service accounts, maintain comprehensive system documentation, optimize system performance, install enterprise-level software, and manage storage resources.
  • Formulate and oversee policies and standards for the effective use of computing resources.
  • Engage in the deployment, integration, acceptance testing, and continuous support of High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems and software environments.
  • Assist in predicting resource constraints and offer suggestions for enhancing resource efficiency through effective scheduling and load balancing methods.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in system administration.
  • DoD 8570 certification - Security + and OS certification, Linux+, RedHat, etc.
  • Fundamental understanding of Linux and Unix operating systems.
  • Proficient in compiling, installing, and porting software.
  • Experience with Storage Architectures: SAN, SAS, FC, SATA, Bandwidth, Performance.
  • Knowledgeable in multi-factor authentication solutions and Identity Management systems such as OpenID, LDAP, and Kerberos.
  • Experience in implementing security measures using multi-factor authentication, PKI, or Kerberos.
  • Familiarity with programming or debugging Python scripts.
  • Experience in supporting Apache Web Server, Zabbix, Red Hat Satellite, BIND DNS, Ansible, Gitlab.

  • Willingness to work after hours and respond to urgent situations as needed.
  • Capability to obtain and sustain a top-secret security clearance.
