Job Title: Speech Language Assistant

Leominster Public Schools is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Assistant to join our team. As a Speech Language Assistant, you will work directly under a Licensed Speech Pathologist to provide support in the remediation or development of speech and language skills for students.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist speech-language pathologists in the remediation or development of speech and language skills.
  • Document student progress toward meeting established IEP objectives.
  • Assist speech-language pathologists in documenting student progress.
  • Plan lessons for both face-to-face and remote platforms.
  • Perform support duties such as preparing materials, keeping records, maintaining supplies, and scheduling activities.
  • Prepare charts, graphs, or other visual displays to communicate student's speech development.
  • Understand child development, managing challenging behaviors, and social emotional learning.
