Job Summary

We are seeking highly motivated and experienced ski and snowboard instructors to join our team at Cooper Hill Ski Area, Inc. As a ski instructor, you will be responsible for teaching group and private lessons to guests of all ages and skill levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional guest service and create a fun and safe learning environment for our guests.
  • Instruct group and private lessons to guests of all ages and skill levels.
  • Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of skiing and snowboarding techniques and safety procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with other instructors and staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to improve teaching skills and stay up-to-date on industry best practices.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be at least 16 years old and have reliable transportation to the resort.
  • PSIA/AASI certification preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.

Working Conditions:

The instructor position is based primarily outside and is exposed to temperature extremes, sun and wind exposure, inclement weather, and high altitudes.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to walk on even/uneven/slippery terrain, climb/descend even/uneven/slippery terrain, climb/descend stairs, stand and/or sit for long periods of time, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, lift objects that may be heavy, and ski or snowboard at an intermediate level.
