Job Summary

We're seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Lead Clerk to join our team. As a Lead Clerk, you'll be instrumental in assisting management with the operations of the store, leading by example, and ensuring that all customers receive fast, friendly service. You'll be responsible for performing clerk duties in the designated department, assisting assigned employees, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by answering customer questions and complaints in a professional manner
  • Assist management with store operations, including monitoring customer traffic flow and ensuring that checkout lanes are covered
  • Lead by example and demonstrate a positive attitude and work ethic
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sweeping, mopping, and taking out garbage
  • Assist assigned employees with their tasks and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Monitor cashier money handling procedures and assist with scan system procedures
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Food Handlers Certification (per state laws)
