About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Novant Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Patient Care: Assist healthcare providers in ensuring safe, quality, and cost-effective service and care for patients within our practice population.
  • Support Clinical Operations: Participate in the coordination of clinical activities, including medication administration and patient data management.
  • Provide Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and communicating with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with healthcare providers, nurses, and other support staff to ensure seamless patient care and services.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Must be a graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program, with a curriculum that includes pharmacology and medication administration.
  • Experience: Previous work experience in a medical office setting, preferred.
  • Certification: Current certification as a CMA, RMA, or CCMA, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Skills: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
