Newscast Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Newscast Director to join our team at Paramount. As an ELC Director, you will be responsible for providing daily on-air production direction and physical execution of our programming as assigned. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide daily on-air production direction and physical execution of our programming as assigned
Collaborate with the station's editorial staff to prepare the broadcast through automation protocols and technical infrastructure
Assume the single-operator position in the control room and be responsible for the editorial and technical execution of the program
Supervise other crew positions, including ENG Receive and Studio Technician roles

Requirements:

Previous Sony ELC experience is required
Ability to run in automated and manual configuration
Excellent people and communication skills, with the ability to handle various tasks and lead a team
Good conflict resolution and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of video and audio servers, Chyron graphics systems, audio consoles, and robotic cameras
Excellent computer skills and knowledge of iNews
Demonstrable experience as a newscast director
