Job Summary

The Adjunct Faculty member in the Department of Communication at Boise State University is responsible for teaching students in a designated area of specialization. This role requires a Master's Degree in Communication or higher and involves determining grades for course requirements based on course objectives and criteria as defined in the course syllabus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate effective teaching methods and apply appropriate policies and regulations within the University, College, and department.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others within the University, College, and department.
  • Participate in activities promoting personal and professional educational growth.
  • Maintain expertise in teaching communication and serve as a professional role model for students.
  • Apply appropriate teaching methods supported by evidence.
Requirements
  • A Master's Degree in Communication is required.
  • One or more years of teaching experience is preferred.
Benefits

Adjunct faculty are non-benefited employees hired on a semester-to-semester basis. The wage is based upon educational degree and number of credits taught.
