About the Role

As a Van Driver with First Student, you will play a vital role in the lives of students and their families. You will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a school bus safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Ensure the safety and security of students on board, including monitoring their behavior and providing assistance as needed.
  • Develop strong relationships with students, parents, and school staff, providing a positive and supportive environment for all.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge as a Van Driver.
  • Work collaboratively with other transportation staff to ensure seamless and efficient service delivery.

Requirements
  • A valid driver's license for at least 3 years.
  • A clean driving record.
  • The ability to pass a background check and DOT drug test.
