As a leader, you will mentor and guide film converting operators, oversee equipment maintenance, and uphold product quality to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Direct a team of film print and converting operators, offering training and support to maximize performance and productivity.
- Develop and implement production processes while training additional operators.
- Gain proficiency in operating advanced flexible packaging film converting machinery.
- Ensure equipment is well-maintained, troubleshoot issues, and perform necessary preventative maintenance.
- Monitor product quality throughout production runs, making adjustments to maintain high standards.
- Collaborate with the production manager and scheduler to prioritize jobs and meet deadlines.
- Enforce safety protocols, ensuring all team members adhere to safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate production documentation, including job logs and equipment maintenance records.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process enhancements and cost reductions.
- Conduct training sessions for operators, keeping them informed about industry advancements and best practices.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production workflows.
- Operate converting equipment as required.
- Interpret orders to ensure correct materials are produced according to company standards.
- Keep the work area and equipment clean and orderly, following safety regulations.
- Report any defective materials or questionable conditions to management.
- Perform tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Update relevant management information systems with job and production data.
- Execute additional duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of two years' experience in a print packaging environment, with a preference for flexible packaging films.
- Prior experience with Digital, Offset, or Flexographic printing is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel for equipment training.
- Technically and mechanically inclined with a strong attention to detail.
- Commitment to honesty and integrity in all work activities.

- Ability to follow and instruct on standard operating procedures.
- Communicate effectively and professionally in all situations.
