Job Summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the delivery of high-quality medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical and administrative duties to support efficient clinic flow and effective patient care.
  • Take medical histories, capture and document patient vital signs, and update patient medical records.
  • Communicate with patients, families, and other care providers to ensure a safe and effective patient care environment.
  • Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with medical exams and office procedures.
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, administer injections/immunizations, and perform venipuncture as allowed by state regulations.
  • Communicate test results and instructions to patients as directed by physicians or nursing staff.
  • Assist with scheduling tests, treatments, and follow-up appointments.
  • Maintain patient files, records, and other information.
Requirements
  • Diploma from an accredited program for Medical Assistants required.
  • MA certification required; if not currently certified, certification must be obtained within 6 months to 1 year dependent on state requirements.
  • 1+ years' experience in an office-based setting preferred.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Ability to maintain OSHA standards and HIPAA regulations.
