About the Role

Ochsner Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fitness Center Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operational performance of our Fitness Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and work with all Fitness Center department managers on daily operations of the club.
  • Coordinate all deposits from each department to ensure balancing of finances and take daily deposits to the bank.
  • Properly open and close the facility in a timely manner.
  • Assist managers and directors on meeting budgetary goals for the entire organization.
  • Make rounds of the entire facility every two hours and document all information, monitor and address all safety issues.
  • Help management team in coordinating all special events for the Fitness Center.
  • Follow all MOD and Human Resource policies.
  • Other related duties as required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year general business experience, including one year of supervisory experience.
  • CPR through American Red Cross and AED Certification.
  • Strong computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Ability to move freely throughout and between locations.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule (24/7, weekends, etc.).

Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Mechanical lifting devices (carts, dollies, etc.) or team lifts should be utilized.

Must be able to travel throughout and between facilities.

Must be able to work a flexible work schedule (24/7, weekend, etc.).
