We are seeking a skilled Radiology Tech III to join our team at Harlingen Medical Center. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic procedures, including CT scans, mammography, and ultrasound. Your excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with patients and staff will be essential in providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures according to department protocols
- Function as the first point of contact for patients and provide excellent customer service
- Participate in quality improvement activities and maintain performance improvement programs
- Supervise radiology staff in the absence of senior personnel
- Assist in maintaining department supplies and equipment
- Process and transmit images to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS)
- Licensure and/or fluoroscopy permit as required by the state
- National certification in three modalities or leadership experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification
- One year of acute clinical radiography experience preferred
- Proficient computer skills
