Our hospital, Harlingen Medical Center, is a Level IV Trauma Designated facility that specializes in various medical services, including Cardiovascular, Emergency, Neuroscience, Orthopedic, Radiology, Rehabilitation, and Surgical services.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Diagnostic Radiographic, Cat Scan, Mammography, Bone Density, Ultra Sound, Magnetic Resonance Imaging or Special Procedures according to department protocols.
  • Function as the first line interface with customers and ensure their imaging needs are met.
  • Participate in PI/ QC activities and assist in maintaining Performance Improvement Program.
  • Supervise Radiology staff in the absence and maintain department supplies.
  • Promote teamwork and good customer service.
  • Assist in annual evaluations and staff discipline.
  • Process and transmit Images to PACS.

Qualifications

  • Licensure and/or fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
  • Effective July 1, 2017 national certification in three modalities or if functioning in a leadership role, national certification in 2 modalities and leadership experience required.
  • Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations.
  • Current BCLS required upon hire and maintain current.
  • One year of acute clinical radiography preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills.
