Job Overview:

The role involves performing routine manual tasks that ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of County facilities while executing various project assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize cleaning materials and equipment safely and effectively, including chemicals, vacuums, buffers, and carpet extractors.
  • Conduct thorough cleaning of floors through sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and waxing.
  • Dust and polish furniture and woodwork to maintain a tidy environment.
  • Sanitize restrooms, ensuring all fixtures are clean and paper products are replenished.
  • Clean interior glass surfaces and doors, ensuring clarity and cleanliness.
  • Manage waste by removing trash from all containers regularly.
  • Perform a variety of standard cleaning tasks as required.
  • Participate in monthly safety meetings to enhance workplace safety.
  • Provide courteous service to all facility users.

Additional Duties:

  • Request cleaning supplies and equipment as necessary.

Qualifications:

Education:
Preferred: High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience:
Required: Previous experience in building cleaning.

Skills and Abilities:
Good understanding of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment. Ability to follow simple instructions and safety guidelines related to custodial work.

Additional Requirements:
Must pass a comprehensive background check and a post-offer physical examination. Must be physically capable of performing job duties as outlined.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.

Other Information:
Part-time employees are not eligible for benefits. Full-time employees receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid leave options.
